Dairyland’s Clinical Information Management solutions provide organizations a suite of integrated applications that span all clinical departments and automate administrative and clinical documentation tasks, enabling clinicians to focus on providing high-quality patient care, instead of managing patient information. The flexible applications, allow organizations to configure the system to meet the needs of their physicians, nurses, and other care providers. The system works to encourage compliance with organizational practices and ensure patient safety.

Electronic Medical Record

  • The central repository of all a patient’s information. The Electronic Medical record provides care providers a comprehensive view of patient information including; demographic, historical and clinical information. Information from all care settings within the healthcare system - clinics, hospitals, home health practices and long-term care is stored and available through the patient’s medical record. The electronic medical record ensures that treatment decisions are based on the most up-to-date information and that care is coordinated between multiple care providers.

Ancillary Services

  • Provides the ancillary departments (Rehabilitation Services, Respiratory Care, and Nutritional Services) with the capability to place and receive orders, approve charges, create work lists and print reports and department logs.

Electronic Medication Administration Record

  • Provides nurses the capability at a patient’s bedside to confirm a patient’s identity, medication information and document the medication administration. Users are provided real-time access to the patient’s current electronic medical record, including medication history, allergies and latest test results.

Clinical Documentation

  • Provides nurses a single, convenient place to document patient care. The module enables users to electronically document patient assessments, vital signs, intake/ output values, progress notes and nursing tasks in the patient’s electronic medical record.

Laboratory

  • Automates lab department’s activities, enabling users to receive track and process orders, report results and ensure quality control. Interfaces with laboratory instruments further streamline the process collecting test data within the module. The results are saved in the patient’s electronic medical record.

Mobile Physician Access

  • Provides real-time access to Dairyland’s clinical applications via a personal digital assistant (PDA). Through a wireless connection the mobile application extends access to application functionality. Physicians can review patient information, enter orders, view and edit vitals information and review lab results.

Order Entry

  • Improves order communication and workflow between departments and/or care settings. Users can enter orders for all patient types (inpatients, outpatients, residents, etc…) using department specific ordering and charging menus, edit placed orders and view their status.

Patient Care Guidelines

  • Helps healthcare providers to determine the necessary healthcare procedures for patients based on their age, sex, and/or diagnosis, ensuring patients receive consistent preventative care for routine wellness and chronic illness treatment.

Patient Care Instructions

  • Simplifies the process for creating clear, concise and consistent instructions for patients. Provide patients with detailed condition, preventative, and contact information, as well as care and follow up instructions.

Pharmacy

  • Aids pharmacists manage all aspects of medication verification and dispensing, including coordinating orders, interaction checking, administration and charging. Integrated with the patient’s electronic medical record, pharmacists have access to the patient information they require and vice-versa healthcare providers have an up-to-date view of the patient’s current and past medication record.

Physician Access

  • Provides physicians a single point of access to patient information locally or remotely. Physicians have the ability to obtain the vital information in the patient’s electronic medical record, place orders, print reports, and view, edit and electronically sign transcribed documents. Enabling physicians direct access to the information and functions they use daily to direct their patients' care.

Radiology

  • Provides functionality that streamlines the everyday activities within a Radiology department, including processing orders, film management and tracking, generating department reports and automating charging. Together with the patient’s electronic medical record, the module facilitates efficient communication between radiologists, technicians, nurses and physicians.

Transcription

  • Allows for all transcribed documents to be stored within the patient’s electronic medical record. Utilizing, Microsoft Word® the application simplifies creating, viewing, printing, and faxing transcribed documents.
